Best All-Inclusive Resorts for Families (2026)

The best all-inclusive resorts for families in 2026: 20 picks by age, from baby clubs to water parks and teen lounges, plus no-passport US options and whether kids pay full price.

A young girl in arm floats splashing at the edge of a resort pool

An all-inclusive can be the easiest vacation you ever take with kids. Meals are paid for, the pool is steps away, and someone else is running the kids' club.

But the resort matters far more than the brand. Some have a baby club and a water park. Some don't take kids under 4 in the club at all. A few have adults-only towers right next to the family pool.

So we checked 22 family resorts on their own official sites, ages and rules included. Here are the 20 we'd pick for families in 2026, sorted by your kids' ages.

Best all-inclusive resorts for babies and toddlers

Most all-inclusive kids' clubs start at age 4. Under that, a parent has to stay. These three are different.

Beaches Turks & Caicos

Best for: babies, toddlers and kids up to 10. Teens have their own program too.

This is the resort families with little kids talk about most. It sits on Grace Bay, and it was built around families.

  • Under 4: an Infant Program for ages 0 to 2 and a Toddler Program for ages 3 to 4. Toddlers must be potty-trained. Kids Camp, with certified nannies, is part of the package.
  • Kids and teens: Navigators 5-7, Adventurers 8-10, Tweens 11-14 and Teens 15-17, with their own teen nightclub.
  • Water park: Pirates Island Waterpark, 45,000 square feet, always included.
  • Also: Sesame Street characters, and the Caribbean's first certified Autism Centers.

The catch: it's one of the priciest family resorts, and many families book a year or more ahead. Families who go back again and again still say the food is good, not gourmet, and some areas feel dated. The infant program closes from 12 to 2pm each day, so plan naps around it. Private childcare is extra.

Beaches Negril in Jamaica runs the same age groups.

FDR (Franklyn D. Resort), Jamaica

Best for: babies and toddlers.

FDR, in Runaway Bay on Jamaica's north coast, gives every family its own Vacation Nanny, assigned when you arrive. The nanny works from 8:30am to 4:40pm, and it's included.

  • Kids: the supervised Yellow Bird Kids' Club, and activities for teens.
  • Water: four pools, a 100-foot waterslide and an infant and toddler water play area.

The catch: extra nanny hours cost $12 an hour, with a 2-hour minimum.

Club Med Punta Cana

Best for: families with a baby or toddler who don't mind paying extra for care.

Club Med takes babies from 4 months. Baby Club Med is for ages 4 to 23 months, and Petit Club Med is for ages 2 to 3. Both cost extra.

  • Included: Mini Club Med for ages 4 to 10, and teen programs for 11 to 13 and 14 to 17.
  • Water park: Club Med's newest and largest, with 20 water attractions.
  • For parents: an adults-only Zen Oasis with its own pool.

The catch: the price of the baby and toddler clubs isn't published, so ask for it before you book.

Best all-inclusive resorts for kids 4 to 12

This is the age the format was built for. Kids are old enough for the kids' club and the slides, and still young enough to think a pool is the best place on earth.

Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya

Best for: kids who love SpongeBob and slime.

  • Water park: Aqua Nick, six acres with seven slides, free and unlimited for guests.
  • Kids: Club Nick, a free-play hub with a mega ball pit and a two-story slide.
  • Toddlers: toddler-friendly amenities, but no published toddler club.

The catch: price. Parents either love it or think it's too much. Some experiences cost extra, so ask what's included. Kids-stay-free deals come and go here, so check what's running when you book.

Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana

The Punta Cana Nickelodeon sits on Uvero Alto beach. Club Nick runs daily supervised programs for ages 4 to 12, and it's complimentary. The newly expanded Aqua Nick has five slides, also included. Pajama Jam character meals cost extra.

Moon Palace Cancun

Best for: big families who want lots to do.

  • Kids: The Playroom for ages 4 to 12. Kids under 4 must stay with a parent or adult family member.
  • Water: a Splash Park with kiddie pools, and a FlowRider surf machine.
  • For everyone: the Wired Lounge game room.

Kids stay free: Moon Palace runs a deal where kids and teens 0 to 17 stay free with a paying adult. The current offer ends with check-out by December 21, 2026, so check the terms for later dates.

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun

Best for: water-park kids.

  • Water park: 14 slides, two lazy rivers and splash zones for little kids.
  • Kids: a kids' club for ages 4 to 12, always included, plus babysitting and an indoor play area.
  • Kids stay free: one child and one teen stay free in select family suites, like the Family, Presidential or Chairman suites.

The catch: the trampoline park, bowling and laser tag cost extra.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana

Best for: kids who want a big water park, and teens who want a game room.

  • Water park: Rockaway Bay, with slides and a wave pool.
  • Kids: the Roxity Kids Club. Kids under 4 are welcome with an adult.
  • Teens: a Gaming Room for ages 13 to 17.

The catch: babysitting costs extra, and there's a large casino on site.

Dreams Playa Mujeres

Best for: families with a 3-year-old who's potty-trained.

The Explorer's Club takes kids from 3 to 12, open daily from 9am to 9:45pm. Kids must be fully potty-trained. Teens 13 to 17 get the Core Zone. There's a water park with waterslides.

The catch: the lazy river is only for Preferred Club guests, and childcare outside the clubs costs extra.

Best all-inclusive resorts for families with teens

Hyatt Ziva Cancun

Best for: tweens and teens.

  • Teens: the Moods Lounge and Club, just for ages 10 to 17, open 1 to 9pm.
  • Kids: the KidZ Club for ages 4 to 12, with a mini water park.

The catch: the Turquoize tower and some venues are adults-only, so families stay in the rest of the resort.

Hotel Xcaret Mexico

Best for: active kids and teens who want more than a pool.

The big draw is that entry to the Xcaret parks, plus transport, is included. Kids get the Xiquillos Kids' Club, and teens get Xcaret Teens. Little ones can use the Lunateca toy library, for ages 0 to 4 with a parent.

The catch: rooms hold three or four people at most, so a family of five needs two rooms. Some casas are adults-only.

Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana

The Canapolis water park has a lazy river, water cannons and five slides. There's a minimum height of 3.94 feet for the slides. The kids' and teen club has a teen side for ages 13 to 17. The resort doesn't publish the kids' club ages, so ask before you book.

Best value all-inclusive resorts for families

Riu Costa Mujeres

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres and its neighbor Riu Dunamar sit north of Cancun's hotel zone. Guests get free access to the Splash Water World water park at Riu Dunamar, and kids get the RiuLand kids' club. Some suites and swim-up bars are adults-only.

Iberostar Selection Paraíso Maya

This Riviera Maya resort has a water park with slides, eight pool areas, a lazy river and a wave pool. The Star Camp kids' program runs here. Ask the resort which ages it takes, and whether babysitting is extra.

All-inclusive family resorts in the US (no passport needed)

You don't have to leave the country. These US resorts include meals and kids' activities, and you can drive to most of them.

Mohonk Mountain House, New York

A historic resort on a lake near New Paltz. All meals and non-alcoholic drinks are included, and there's no tipping. The drop-off Kids' Club for ages 4 to 12 is free with your stay. It runs daily from mid-June to Labor Day, and on weekends and school holidays the rest of the year.

The catch: there's no babysitting, and kids under 4 can't join the club. Horseback rides and climbing cost extra. Kids stay and eat free on select dates.

Rocking Horse Ranch, New York

A ranch resort in Highland, New York, with all-you-can-eat meals and activities included. The Big Splash Indoor Water Park is kept at 85°F all year. Kids under 48 inches tall can ride ponies.

C Lazy U Ranch, Colorado

An all-inclusive dude ranch near Granby. In summer, the kids' program is included: Cowpokes for ages 3 to 5 (with pony rides), Mustangs for 6 to 12, and a teen program for 13 to 17. A Little Ranch Hands program runs from September to April.

Woodloch, Pennsylvania

A classic family resort in the Pocono Mountains, with an all-inclusive meal plan, indoor and outdoor splash pools with slides, and lots of activities.

The catch: the Kids Club is not drop-off. A parent or guardian has to be there. There's an 18% service charge, and alcohol isn't included.

Tyler Place Family Resort, Vermont

A summer-only family camp for parents and kids on Lake Champlain. All meals, kids' and teen programs, and infant and toddler care are included. There's a 10% service charge and no tipping.

The catch: kids pay per person, and summer 2026 is over. The 2027 season runs from May 28 to September 11, so book early.

Bolongo Bay, US Virgin Islands

A small, all-inclusive beach resort on St. Thomas. US citizens don't need a passport to go to the US Virgin Islands. Meals and most drinks are included.

The catch: there's no kids' club. It's a no-passport beach week, not a kids'-club week.

Do kids pay full price at all-inclusive resorts?

Usually, yes. Most all-inclusives charge per person, so each child adds to the bill. Here's what the resorts above actually say:

  • Moon Palace: kids and teens 0 to 17 stay free with a paying adult, on the current offer, with check-out by December 21, 2026.
  • Royalton Splash: one child and one teen stay free, but only in select family suites.
  • Nickelodeon Riviera Maya: runs kids-stay-free offers for set travel dates.
  • Mohonk and Woodloch: kids stay free only on select dates.
  • Tyler Place: kids pay per person.
  • Club Med: the kids' club for ages 4 to 10 is part of the package, but baby and toddler clubs cost extra.

Watch for extras: babysitting, private nannies, character meals, trampoline parks and service charges. Ask for the total for your whole family, in writing, before you pay.

Caribbean or Mexico?

Mexico's Caribbean coast, around Cancun and the Riviera Maya, has the most family resorts, from Nickelodeon to Moon Palace to Royalton.

The islands, like Turks & Caicos, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, have their own family favorites, like Beaches, FDR, Club Med and the Punta Cana water-park resorts.

Both have warm water in winter. Hurricane season runs June through November, so check your travel insurance if you go then. Every child needs their own passport book to fly to Mexico or the islands outside the US.

How to pick the right all-inclusive for your family

  • Pick the resort, not the brand. Two resorts from the same chain can be very different for kids.
  • Check the under-4 rule. If your youngest is under 4, find out if the club takes them, and what it costs.
  • Check the club hours. Some clubs close for lunch or in the afternoon. A few run into the evening.
  • Plan five to seven nights. That's long enough to settle in, and short enough that the food still feels fun.
  • Read recent guest reviews. Food, cleanliness and crowds can change from year to year.
  • Count your family. Many rooms hold four. Families of five or more often need a suite or two rooms.
  • Look for adults-only areas. Some family resorts have adults-only towers, pools or restaurants.

Bringing a baby or toddler: what to pack

A few small things make the week much easier.

  • A travel crib, or a plan for one. Ask the resort for a crib when you book, but don't count on it. Many parents bring a travel crib or rent one from a local baby-gear rental that delivers to the resort.
  • Your own baby float and swimmies. Resorts rarely have floats sized for babies.
  • A small bottle sterilizer. Many rooms have a mini fridge but no microwave.
  • A rash guard, a sun hat and sand toys. A small bucket-and-spade set keeps toddlers busy for hours.
  • Snacks and pouches for the first day. After that, the buffet is easy for babies who eat finger foods: fruit, eggs, yogurt, bread and pasta are always there.
  • Patience at meals. At busy times, expect a wait for a table or a drink. Eat early, before the dinner rush.

Questions to ask before you book

  1. What ages does the kids' club take, and what are its hours?
  2. Is there care for babies and toddlers, and what does it cost?
  3. Is the water park included, and are there height limits?
  4. Do kids stay free, and in which rooms and on which dates?
  5. How many people can sleep in the room or suite?
  6. What costs extra: babysitting, character meals, activities, service charges?
  7. Are any pools, towers or restaurants adults-only?
